GENERAL BACKGROUND
Qainoor is one of the founding lawyers of Logica Law. She has a broad range of experience in Wills & Estates, Real Estate, Corporate and Commercial Law. Qainoor acts for a diverse array of clients from different backgrounds.
Before starting Logica Law, Qainoor practiced as an associate lawyer at a small law firm on the North Shore and with a highly recognized downtown Vancouver law firm.
EXPERIENCE
- Drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney and Representation Agreements
- Acting for and advising clients on useful Estate Planning tools including beneficiary designations, Bare Trusts, Qualified Disability Trusts, Henson Trusts, Joint Partner Trusts and Alter Ego Trusts
- Probate and Estate Administration Applications including compliance with the Wills, Estates and Succession Act B.C
- Residential and Commercial Real Estate Conveyancing including purchases, sales and refinances
- Incorporating, acquiring, amalgamating and transitioning Companies including professional corporations
- Acting for Buyers and Sellers in Asset and Share Purchases
- Commercial lease review and negotiation
EDUCATION
Qainoor was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. After receiving her law degree from the University of Reading, United Kingdom in 2011, she completed the Bar Professional Training Course as a Barrister and was Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2011 at the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn.
Qainoor moved to Vancouver in the winter of 2011 and was Called to the Bar of British Columbia in July 2017.
INTERESTS
When she is not working, Qainoor is a mentor to young women lawyers who are entering the legal profession, and volunteers with the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). AKDN is a group of development agencies with mandates ranging from health and education to architecture, culture, microfinance, rural development, disaster reduction, the promotion of private-sector enterprise and the revitalization of historic sites.
Qainoor loves to travel. When she is not being a foodie or enjoying a glass of wine, she participates in various sporting activities in local leagues, including ball hockey and volleyball.
Qainoor brings to Logica Law a passion for the practice of law, and an understanding of the value of inter-cultural communication and interaction in a diverse and globalized world. Qainoor’s positive attitude and enthusiasm for the law contribute toward an enjoyable and productive work environment.
